ICE 62 is a very modern yacht that stands out for its performance, design, on-board comfort and its high seaworthiness, excellent both for demanding cruises and for participation in regattas and sailing competitions.
Derived from the powerful lines of the ICE 62 targa , with a mix of content taken directly from our 60′ and 70′.
The avant-garde project is carried out by Felci Yacht Design and the production site is located in the historic CN Yacht 2000 facilities, a structure that has thirty years of experience to its credit and the construction of over 80 prestigious maxi yachts.
On the hydrodynamic level, the waterlines and appendages promise great performance, with impressive results that highlight the ICE 62's aptitude for going up the wind at very tight angles and planing very fast at downwind gaits thanks to its large maximum beam of 5.20 meters, therefore with flat and powerful stern sections.
To guarantee these performances are added the high technologies used in the construction and the incredible quality of a craftsmanship of the highest quality, the result of technicians who benefit from an experience gained in many years of activity dedicated to the construction of numerous boats that have written the history of sailing, not only in Italy.
TECHNICAL DATA, TECHNOLOGIES AND MATERIALS
The numbers are impressive...... 19 tons of weight, therefore 25% less than the average of the category, almost 220 square meters of canvas upwind, about 450 in downwind gaits, very high safety thanks to the high stability of shape and the weight/keel ratio.
The shell and deck are laminated in a female mold using hybrid fibers of glass and carbon in infusion; The carbon structures are vacuum-laminated on site, becoming one with the hull and deck.
These choices, in addition to containing the weights, give the boat a solidity and robustness capable of withstanding the repeated stresses and heavy loads that are faced even in the most demanding ships.
INTERIORS
The voluminous and comfortable interior is offered with a choice of two interior layouts, as well as a wide range of finishing materials and endless details.
Another of its strengths is the versatility linked to the possible keel configurations.
In particular, the choice between a lifting keel, which allows the draft to be changed from almost 4 meters to 2.3 meters, and a traditional version keel, which can vary from 2.85 meters to about 3.5 meters according to the customer's needs, allows ICE 62 to be adapted to all needs and intended uses. These options are also related to the optimization of the weight of the torpedo which is specially sized and made by numerical control. The fin made of double high-performance Weldox steel and the numerically controlled lead torpedo also offer the advantage of reducing the weight of the ballast in percentage terms and therefore reducing the total displacement of the boat, with the same righting moment.
Characteristic in both versions is the forward master cabin which is very spacious and has a voluminous shower that overlooks the cabin.
BLANKET
All this allows you to maintain very high averages in all conditions, both in racing and cruising, under sail or motor, in total safety and comfort.
The particularly designed rudder allows impressive control even when the boat heels or subjected to large hydrodynamic loads, confirming the great attention paid to the issue of safety, central both at the design and construction level.
The deck reflects the general lines of Felci Yacht Design projects, combining simplicity and style, modernity and efficiency, comfort and versatility.
At the stern of the wheelhouses there is a large relaxation area, with direct access to the sea through the functional opening stern that serves as a beach and entrance to the garage, where it is possible to stow the tender of considerable size (3.20 meters without deflating it).
The cockpit, characterized by large benches and comfortable seafront backrests, is decidedly oversize and allows, in addition to comfortable protected navigation, to give space to a large dining table.
Being able to raise the level of the dinette floor, bringing it closer to that of the cockpit, the entrance is facilitated and, thanks to the large front side windows, the interaction with the external environment is enhanced, making life on board more pleasant and brighter.
